Storyline
Muhammad Ali, in a rare acting role, plays Gideon Jackson, an ex-slave in 1870's Virginia who gets elected to the U.S. Senate in Washington D.C. and battles other former slaves and white sharecroppers to keep the land they tended all their lives.

Storyline
Terry Sneed (Billy Dee Williams) is a well-known cop brought by police chief Ray Berrigan (Eddie Albert) to quell a crime wave that has gripped Paloma, New Mexico. Already on the payroll of local businessman and crime chief Victor Manso (Vic Morrow), corrupt police Captain Frank Dolek (Albert Salmi) finds it hard to control Sneed. But in fact, Sneed is in business for himself, and even has his own “business manager” (Sorrell Booke) to help him shake down anyone he can for a payoff.

Storyline
Eli Brown (Robert DoQui) joins the Army to escape from some trouble he caused sleeping with married women. Eli is sent to a fort commanded by Col. Grierson (Cesar Romero), where he meets Julie (Janee Michelle), with whom he falls in love with. Later, Julie’s dalliance with Eli’s friend and fellow solider, Sgt. Hatch (Lincoln Kilpatrick), causes complications with the regiment.

Blaxploitation Westerns

Introducing blaxploitation styles westerns. A very unique sub-genre of black film that puts our favorite blaxploitation stars in the wild west. Fred Williamson and Jim Brown are amongst the most popular actors for blax-westerns, but other stars like Lola Falana, Bill Cosby, Ron O'Neal, Max Julien, Vonetta McGee, Harry Belafonte, Sidney Poitier, and Richard Roundtree also made a presence in blax-westerns. "Boss Nigger" is considered to be one of the more popular westerns in this genre with Fred Williamson delivering kick ass gun slinging while sticking it to the man. "Take A Hard Ride" offers an all-star western cast featuring Jim Brown, Fred Williamson, and Jim Kelly with plenty of action to keep you entertained.

Enjoy the westerns because it is truly a fantastic part of the blaxplotiation culture.
