Storyline
The story deals with a young man who is sent to prison on the evidence of one whom he thought was his friend. The hero is ostracized by the townfolk after his release from prison. This forces him to leave town and incidentally leads him towards success. The friend whom he went to prison to save proves false and bribes the father of the hero's sweetheart to persuade her to marry him. Having successfully intercepted all of the letters of the missing lover, he feels all is going according to plan, and proceeds to plan the wedding. The bride is all ready, and the bridesmaids are in waiting, the preacher arrives — what happens next is the climax of the picture.

Storyline
The story tells of Munga who, although a slave in a new world, never renounces his faith and finally dies at a ripe old age, leaving behind the son who had been thought with him from Africa, now a young man. Under the name of Convington, he works his way through college, studies medicine, and after graduating, decides to devote his life to the uplifting of his people. The Yellow Plague breaks out and kills members of his race by the score. The doctor spends days researching for a cure, and finally fortune favors him. A young woman of his race is used in an experiment and is cured. Convington is awarded $100,000 for his discover. The friendship of the young woman and the doctor has now ripened into love and they marry.

Storyline
Mary Austin, a widow dwelling in a small Southern delta town, is visited by her neice, Norma of New York. At the depot Norma meets and makes a date with Ballinger for later that night. Meanwhile, Elmer Harris, a detective with the U.S. Secret Service, has come from Chicago looking for a criminal. When Harris comes to Mary's house that night, he recognizes Ballinger as the man he's seeking. Ballinger's associates force Norma and Mary to return. Despondent, Mary takes up gambling; when she hits big and tries to collect her money she is framed for murder. Harris and Norma unravel the mystery and find the persons who committed the crime which leads to Mary's release from prison.

Storyline
Based on the novel "Behind the Hills" by Charles Chestnut. Alfred Dubois organizes a film production corporation and produces its first picture, "The Hypocrite." On reaching the censor board for their approval, he finds his arch enemy, Rev. Bently, on the board. Rev. Bently succeeds in getting the film rejected. Alfred finally succeeds in having the case appealed and selecting an unbiased board to review the film.
