Black Starlet (1974)


She left her hometown to follow her break away from what life seemed to have planned for her. Stardom and riches were an answer and Hollywood was the shinning star Clara Brown pursued. The path to Clara's fame was a gauntlet paved with sex, drugs, lies, deceit and broken promises. She paid the price, but got what she wanted

This movie reminds me of the #MeToo movement, although this movie was a long time before the #MeToo movement. It's a very interesting film and shows how challenging it is for a woman to move up in Hollywood.
