Straight Out of Brooklyn (1991)

Dennis Brown (Lawrence Gilliard Jr.) is a young man living in poverty and struggling to deal with the plights of the Brooklyn ghetto. After many nights of listening to his father abuse his mother in a drunken rage, he decides to improve his situation by earning money by robbing a local drug dealer. The stolen briefcase is filled with thousands of dollars in cash, but things take a turn for the worse when the dealer and his henchmen track Dennis down.
