Chantel Mitchell (Ariyan Johnson) is a bright teenage girl with a tough side to her. Raised in the Brooklyn ghetto, Chantel aspires to leave by going to college and becoming a medical doctor. While guided by her intelligence and sassy personality, she can't help but to face the struggles that plagues many teenage girls.
