Storyline
Against the urban backdrop of Brooklyn, this poignant documentary profiles a part-time basketball coach named Kenny Jones, focusing on the paternal relationships he fosters with his players. While coaching an elite group of high-school-age street basketball players, Jones sees promise in Ed Smith, a troubled 18-year-old who's a whiz on the court. Jones struggles to nourish Smith's raw talent while also making sure his off-court troubles don't jeopardize his future.
