Myrtle Gunsaulus, a young girl, is found mysteriously murdered in the basement of a factory, by Arthur Gilpin, the black janitor, who is arrested and charged with the crime. The incidents surrounding the tragedy, the motive, and the strange manner in which the girl was killed, make the case one of the most complicated the courts had ever confronted.
Storyline Harry Angel (Mickey Rourke) is a private detective contracted by
Louis Cyphre (Robert De Niro) to track down the iconic singer Johnny
Favorite. However, everybody that Angel questions about Favorite seems
to meet a tragic demise. Eventually the trail leads Angel to New Orleans
where he learns that Favorite had dabbled in the
black arts. As Favorite's whereabouts and true identity become clear,
Angel learns that being hired by Cyphre was not a random choice.
Storyline Wes Craven, the director of A Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream, takes
you on a terrifying journey inside the most demented house on the
street. Trapped inside a fortified home owned by a mysterious couple, a
young boy is suddenly thrust into a nightmare. The boy quickly learns
the true nature of the house’s homicidal inhabitants and the secret
creatures hidden deep within the house.
