Abe Saperstein is the manager and coach of the Harlem Globetrotters. An all-American collegiate basketball player, Billy Townsends, wants to quit college and join the team, but Abe thinks Billy isn't ready for professional basketball and advises him to stay in school. Against Abe's advisement, Billy drops out of school and earns a contract to play with the Globetrotters and marries his college sweetheart Ann Carpenter. However, an injury to Billy's knee during a game causes the young basketball player to make some decisions that would eventually lead him to get fired from the team.

How might one view the entire GlobeTrotters flick with Dorothy Dandridge? This one is much better than the later movie starring Sidney Poitier.
Yes, how can we purchase a copy of this movie (The Harlem Globetrotters 1951)? Is it available on DVD anywhere? Why make a short clip available, but keep the entire movie away from public access?
