Storyline
Abe Saperstein is the manager and coach of the Harlem Globetrotters. An all-American collegiate basketball player, Billy Townsends, wants to quit college and join the team, but Abe thinks Billy isn't ready for professional basketball and advises him to stay in school. Against Abe's advisement, Billy drops out of school and earns a contract to play with the Globetrotters and marries his college sweetheart Ann Carpenter.
